The voting was done through electronic voting which was created by our current PICE BOD/Treasurer, Emmanuel Ganayo, who has also created our website which was launched on the same occasion. The voting started around 9:00 AM and was closed at 3:00 PM. It was great to have the result just in a few minutes after it was closed. Hail to PICE-Bh!

So advanced in technology! I wish we could have this kind of election result on our May 2016 Presidential election…

Of the thirteen (13) Board of Directors, seven (7) are current members of the 2015 Board of Directors and six (6) are new. The five (5) candidates are also winners as they will be appointed as committee/ sub-committee chairmen. The new set of BOD will be having their oath taking in December 2015 during our 4th Quarter General Assembly.

Welcome new members of the 2016 PICE-Bh BOD! Congratulations to all the winners!

PICE-Bahrain would like to congratulate Engineer Flordelisa L. Dabal for passing the Civil Engineering Board Examinations last September 2015, held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. A big hand for you!
Being a licensed Civil Engineer is a prestige that every BSCE graduate should have or have had dreamt of. We understand that because of some inevitable circumstances in our lives, some failed to have this prestige till this very moment. But there is a saying that everyone knows! And that is “Better late than never!” We could also add this proverb, “Glory does not lie in never falling but in rising after its fall.”

So… what now? You cannot take the board examinations because, you are working? No time? Do not have enough money? Where to review? Well… PICE is just here waiting to help you with your concerns.

Do you think Engineer Flordelisa L. Dabal didn’t experience that predicament? Well, she had… but she made it! Indubitably she is now towards a brighter future and having a feeling of great fulfilment and proud to be called Engineer Flordelisa L. Dabal.

PICE-Bahrain is here to help all of you realize that dream of becoming a full pledged civil engineer through our SPLB.

PICE-Bahrain is looking forward to welcoming more aspirants for the next batch of PICE-Bahrain SPLBE for Civil Engineering for the next Board Examinations for GCC OFWS.

Congratulations to all of us especially to our new full pledged engineer and to those who aspire to be one!

    SAFETY FIRST

Thumbs up and big hands to our equally great/brilliant lecturers Engr. Nazario Rivera and Engineer Villy Yadao who shared their knowledge and expertise for free during the 3rd Quarter General Assembly!
Engineer Nazario Rivera discussed about Helpful Guide in buying land in the Philippines and Engineer Villy Yadao about Modern Safety Management. These two topics are so timely for everyone to know considering our present situation in the Philippines and our profession.

It is everyone’s knowledge that buying land in the Philippines is becoming stressful not because we cannot afford to buy/pay but because we are always in quandary whether the title of ownership is true/genuine. We always have to consult lawyers in order that we can assure that there is no harm in buying an offered land. It is very important that we know how to authenticate documents by ourselves alone without the need to consult a lawyer. Worst situation are: if the lawyer you consulted is negligent, lacks knowledge on the technicalities " as how the orig. title looks like, the serial numbering, etc… he just knew the law, or he might connive with the seller- we do not know. But because of Engr. Nazario’s knowledge, expertise and generosity we were able to gain knowledge on how to determine authentic documents and be always on guard- we were able to know what are the things we should check before buying land and most importantly we will not be wasting our money and time from fraud.

As engineers it is most likely that our work will entail site works or managing site staffs and workers. Anywhere in the world, it is always safety that comes first before others- “ SAFETY FIRST” . Being safe and making safe are our prime obligations to ourselves (self-preservation) and to others. This is the reason why labour laws and even building codes always require government agencies and owners of establishments/companies/ offices/ households to comply with all the requirements stated in the laws/codes and more importantly us as an individual. Being safe connotes… less hassle, less costs, less worries and free from penalties. If you were able to listen to and learn from Engrs. Rivera and Yadao, you will be 90% hassle, extra cost, worry and penalty free. The other 10% is if you were able to attend the lectures.

But don’t you worry… just have time to open/visit our website then you will be safe… as both topics about safety (from buying land/operations especially on site) will be uploaded soon in this website.

So always find time to visit the site and involve yourselves to PICE activities for your own good/growth.
